Whether you are winding down after a hard day’s work or hosting a celebration, MOKU glass makes each happy moment all the more beautiful.

Our goal is to make these moments more beautiful with a glass that has a touch of nature embedded within it. Our carefully designed glasses also come with a sense of safety that each unique piece of art is firmly and passionately constructed.

But MOKU glass is not only designed for wine and champaighn. Our series of glass types aim to fit in perfectly with any beverage, any social setting, or any cupboard,Being a piece of art.

As well as our glass types, our two bases and stems come in “simple” and “classic” designs, so that each customer can find the glass that is perfect for their needs.

– DESIGN –

– SIMPLE –

This refreshing design showcases a modern aesthetic, where the quality and uniqueness of the wood speaks for itself. It fits well into a more rustic style, a glass to use every day.

– CLASSIC –

A stem inspired by the feel of an armrest on antique furniture, or the image of a beautifully polished handrail. Each stem is uniquely designed based on the wood used to make for an aesthetically beautiful but reliable shape.

– SERIES –

– STANDARD –

These glasses are made in a variety of shapes to be as sturdy and long-lasting as our hand-blown glasses.

Although some glasses have machine-made glass, the stems and bases are always hand-carved by our artists in Shinshu, Japan.

– MUNI –

MOKU glasses embody Japanese individuality—muni. Each glass has the unique lines, marks, and wood-stains of the trees we used. Many of these trees have traits that made them unusable for architecture, but their flaws only enhance the artistry of each glass. The shape of the stem and base are individually tailored to the unique properties of the harvested wood.

– TSUKIKAGE –

This series, named after its darkness like the shadow of the moon, has a black stem made by liquoring the wood with iron mordant, created by soaking iron in black tea and vinegar.

– CLEANING  –

・Please wash each glass by hand with soap and water, rinsing the wooden stem in water.

・After washing, please allow the glasses to air dry, or wipe them with a towel.

・Please don’t twist or apply undue pressure to the glasses as you dry them.

・The wooden stems and bases are waterproof, but if left to soak in water for too long, they may warp.

・Over time, oil may stick to the glass, making it appear cloudy. If the cup is placed in a steam bath, and then carefully wiped with a fine cloth, the blemishes should disappear.

・The glass may act as a lens if left for extended periods of time in direct sunlight, which could cause a fire.

・Please do not clean with boiling water or by machine. The wooden stem may warp and the glass may break.

・Please do not put the glasses in a microwave or an oven.

・Sudden changes of temperature may cause the glass to crack or shatter.

・Strong blows may also break the glass.

・Cracked or chipped glasses may break further and should be thrown out.

・Not machine washable
